Fitness Instructor

Starting a career in the Fitness Industry at CAE – Melbourne’s leader in providing training for fitness instructors and personal trainers. Developing fitness professionals since 1997, CAE’s expert team of fitness industry trainers will provide you with the skills to write and conduct safe and effective health and fitness programs.

Certificate III in Fitness Part time

You will be required to complete Part 1 and Part 2 as follows:

Certificate III in Fitness – Part 1 Fitness Fundamentals

Learn more about the structure and function of the human body to establish a foundation for fitness instruction.

Certificate III in Fitness – Part 2: Gym Instructor(PR: Cert. III in Fitness – Part 1)
Discover the practical skills of weight training, exercise programming and design, health and fitness appraisal and effective communication to become a gym instructor. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) applications for Part 1 will be considered if you have a significant background in the fitness industry, and/or extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and nutrition.
You are also required to complete two first aid units from the National Fitness Training Package – Provide First Aid and Provide Advanced First Aid Response to attain the first aid qualification.If you already have a current Senior First Aid Certificate (Level 2) you will be required to apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) for these two units (fees apply). Completion also requires a 40 hour work placement unit.
